As you can deduce, I am from New Zealand. I am also female. I am also a tertiary student studying the Humanities through correspondence, and I live in the country with my family.
I am controversial to a (small) degree, and pop cultural as a rule. To get the gist of 'me', here are some unrelated points:
I am a huge fantasy/sci-fi fan. I also love the classics, and ancient civilizations.
I absolutely love to read. My favourite book is The Lord of the Rings (but I loved it before the fangirls did).
My favourite TV programme is Stargate SG-1. I love most programmes, including The Simpsons, which is like pop culture heaven.
Slash: it's what I do. I'm primarily a reader, with a variety of fandoms under my belt, but I've dabbled in the writing of it, and would like to again in the future. All my works to date can be found in my memories, except for a couple of Shortland Street numbers, which are flocked in 'Other fic' because ... I like to be consistent with the actual posts. I doubt a third person exists who wants to join our little fandom, but if that person is you (and you're feeling particularly masochistic) please drop me a line. If nothing else, I can always direct you to better fare.
One day I'd like to be a professional author, although not unless I stop acting as if 'one day' can be put off indefinitely. Hey, they call it an ambition for a reason.
I am a big environmentalist, and quite political (blame my Economics teacher). Ideally I'm a Greenie, but there'd be elements of right and left-wing in my policies if I was ever in Parliament.
http://www.tolerance.org. You can't follow your life by any one rule, so I cut and paste whatever I find that I agree with into my life. People have to learn to accept differences and others. Its been written before.
I am left-handed. A lot of people are. I wear it with pride.
Oh yes. *points* Valentine's Day birthday. I love it.
I like to think that I am very approachable. Extremely so. So if you have anything to say, a comment to make, please go right ahead. Even you, the people who secretly worry that everyone else on the internet is standoffish and won't like them. I am you.
And I won't write anymore, or else the livejournal will become obsolete. You are welcome to stay as long as you like, I can always make up the guest bedroom. What would you like for breakfast?
